Tracking trial (3 hours / 400 meter ) on the 30th of March 2008 in Fussingø

Sus and a 5 week old Sjalle tracking for the first time

Sunday the 30th of March 2008 we finally did it again!! After 3 years, Sjalle again did a tracking!

Sadly am I missing the English word for what I would like to write here. After a long and hard time, where it wasn't possible at all for me to train tracking with the dogs, and, since the pain after the Sus death was to big, we finally have been out in the woods again, training tracking, and even done a Tracking trial! This trial was except for 1 week, exactly 3 years after Sus and Sjalle passed the Trial (23rd March 2005). That trial was the last trial Sus ever did with her beloved dogs, after that her sickness got so bad she wasn't able to, and a year later she died.

Sjalle and I didn't do the best track ever seen, not even the most directly way to the "deer" - but we passed the trial, and we found "Bambi" as Sus used to call the deer.

It's for sure, we haven't been out training tracking for the last time, and we will for sure also do more trials!
